One of the easiest cheesecakes to make is one with an already prepared crust. You can buy the graham cracker crust or a chocolate crust. Whatever sounds best is the one you will use. Be sure to take your cream cheese out of the refrigerator about an hour before you need to use it. Working with cold cream cheese is close to impossible. Put the eight ounce package of cream cheese into a medium size bowl. Using a mixer, blend a package of eight ounce cream cheese with one fourth cup of sugar. Blend until smooth. Add one half cup sour cream and mix well. Add two eggs one egg at a time. Blend into until each egg is completely incorporated.
Pour the mixture into the pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for twenty-five minutes or until the center is almost set. Cool overnight. If you want to make the simple cheesecake recipe even more special, add a can of pie filling on the top. You can use cherry, blueberry, or even blackberry. You can always cover the top with whipped cream or even cool whip. Fresh fruit is also a great option. This cheesecake may be simple but it is always a crowd pleaser,
Another even more simple cheesecake recipe is for the non baked cheesecake. You can't get easier than that. Mix three packages of cream cheese that has been softened. Use the eight ounce cream cheese packages. Add one can of sweetened condensed milk. You must use sweetened condensed milk and not evaporated milk. They are totally different ingredients and not interchangeable. Add the juice from half a lemon. Always use fresh lemon when you can because it adds such a fresh light flavor. Pour the cheesecake into an already prepared graham cracker crust.
This is a no bake cheesecake so you can immediately put the cheesecake into the refrigerator so your dessert will be ready in an hour or two.
Once you have mastered the simple cheesecake recipe, you can wow your friends who won't have a clue that you didn't slave over a hot stove all day. Then you can try the harder recipes later and become everyone's chef hero.
